Roger Mah
CEO & Co-founder, ZoraMat Solutions
Carbon capture and storage is critical technology for mitigating climate change. Roger co-led the scaling technology for Zoralite, a material that can reduce the cost of carbon capture by upwards of 66%, does not rely on toxic, corrosive and volatile chemicals in order to capture carbon, and has the potential to prevent the release of 50 million tonnes of CO2 in Canada alone. Zoralite is preparing for a pilot in partnership with other clean technologies at a major oil sands extraction company test site. Roger also championed a new approach to remove barriers, facilitate spinoff formation, and accelerate growth at the University of Calgary, streamlining a process which has since been utilized by two other cleantech start-ups.
