Beep Beep! Electric busses are coming to Brampton! Scott is leading the implementation of Brampton’s portion of the $40 million CUTRIC-led Pan-Canadian Electric Bus Demonstration & Integration Trial, bringing 8 standardized zero-emissions buses and 4 high-powered, overhead charging systems to the City (global largest deployment). Once fully implemented, this will result in reductions of an estimated $300,000 in diesel fuel and 1,900,000 kg CO2e savings per year. Scott was a key actor in negotiating the Consortium’s MOU. Scott is also representing Brampton Transit in the City’s effort to update Brampton’s Environmental Master Plan, and develop the City’s Community Energy & Emissions Reduction Plan .
